On Leaving Xanga
Many people are jumping ship for the newest and best thing. Xanga was surpassed by myspace. myspace is being eclipsed by facebook and I'm sure something else will come around that will be more "hott" than even facebook, but in all of this, I was left with a sense of detachment. I wanted a mental exercise. I don't want to have to delve through crazy layouts and sparkly avatars and movie clips and songs and God knows what else. I simply want to read... and to write. A place that is quiet...
So here I am...xanga was, in the end, too childish in all its garish functionality. I want more. I've always wanted more. Here's to dissappointment.

Well, after all, the only reason you started it in the first place was to anonymously reprimand a few seniors back in May of 2005.
Just remember that, sadly, blogging the old fashioned "standard" way, unlike Xanga, leaves much room for anonymity amongst your commenters. As I'm proving now.
Ummmm ... It wasn't me talking about anonymity. I suspect it was a traveler. Of the rift kind.
Yeah. I think it was the sparkly avatars that did me in ;)
