On Leaving Xanga

Many people are jumping ship for the newest and best thing. Xanga was surpassed by myspace. myspace is being eclipsed by facebook and I'm sure something else will come around that will be more "hott" than even facebook, but in all of this, I was left with a sense of detachment. I wanted a mental exercise. I don't want to have to delve through crazy layouts and sparkly avatars and movie clips and songs and God knows what else. I simply want to read... and to write. A place that is quiet...

So here I am...xanga was, in the end, too childish in all its garish functionality. I want more. I've always wanted more. Here's to dissappointment.
